Coldplay Hymn For The Weekend lyrics

I said drink from me, drink from me
(Oh-ah-oh-ah)
Let me shoot across the sky
Symphony
Let me shoot across the sky
We're on a...
Drink from me, drink from me
(Oh-ah-oh-ah)
Let me shoot across the sky
Symphony
(So high, so high)
Let me shoot across the sky

Oh, angels sent from up above
You know you make my world light up
When I was down, when I was hurt
You came to lift me up
Life is a drink, and love's a drug
Oh now I think I must be miles up
When I was hurt, withered, dried up
You came to rain a flood

I said, drink from me, drink from me
When I was so thirsty
We're on a symphony
Now I just can't get enough
Put your wings on me, wings on me
When I was so heavy
We're on a symphony
When I'm lower, lower, lower, low

Ah-oh-ah-oh-ah
Got me feeling drunk and high
So high, so high
Oh-ah-oh-ah-oh-ah
I'm feeling drunk and high
So high, so high
(Woo)
(Woo-ooo-ooo-woo)

Oh, angels sent from up above
I feel it coursing through my blood
Life is a drink, your love's about
To make the stars come out

Put your wings on me, wings on me
When I was so heavy
We're on a symphony
When I'm lower, lower, lower, low

Ah-oh-ah-oh-ah
Got me feeling drunk and high
So high, so high
Oh-ah-oh-ah-oh-ah
I'm feeling drunk and high
So high, so high

Ah-oh-ah-oh-ah
La, la, la, la, la, la, la
So high, so high
Ah-oh-ah-oh-ah
I'm feeling drunk and high
So high, so high

Let me shoot across the sky
Let me shoot across the...
Let me shoot across the sky
Let me shoot across the...
Let me shoot across the sky
Let me shoot across the...
Let me shoot across the sky
Let me shoot across the...
Let me shoot across the sky
Let me shoot across the...

"Hymn for the Weekend" is a song by Coldplay, a British rock band. The song features Beyoncé. "Hymn for the Weekend" was released on January 25, 2016 as the 2nd single from their 7th studio album, A Head Full of Dreams (2015). "Hymn for the Weekend" is the third track off the album. Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion and Chris Martin wrote the song. Rik Simpson, Stargate and Digital Divide produced the song.
"Hymn for the Weekend" debuted on Annie Mac's BBC radio show on November 30, 2015. Chris Martin originally wanted the song to be a party song "drinks on me, drinks on me", but his bandmates didn't think that would keep a good image with their audience. Martin's longtime friend Beyoncé was asked to sing on the song, and she accepted the request.
"Hymn for the Weekend" received positive reviews: Jody Rosen, Billboard said it "the album's grooviest". Sarah Rodman, The Boston Globe said "the album truly lifts off on the wings of an angelic choir (including Beyoncé), a swaggering piano, and a euphoric, lightly funky track bolstering Martin’s exclamations of feeling high."
Ben Mor directed the music video and it was released on January 29, 2016. The video was shot in October 2015 in India. Beyoncé and Indian actress Sonam Kapoor are featured in the video. The video has over 54 million hits on youtube as of Feb 2016.
